Line Manager
The Line Manager is responsible for organizing the work on the production line to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the production process in the most effective and (cost)efficient way. In this role he/she is acting as a role model and leader for the assigned team. The Line Manager is reporting to the Production Manager and lead a team with 5 Supervisors.
The Line manager is responsible for compliance with CPNL and CP Group standards and regulations (Inc. Code of Conduct, CPNL Mission/Vision) and keeping up, sharing and applying knowledge of the production process. The Line Manager will ensure mentors and trainers are providing training to the Operators (both new starters and already working) in their various daily tasks on the machine, in line with the training plan. He/she will coordinate with HR Department for the recruitment process of new employees.
As Line Manager you will be among other things responsible for:
- Managing the production line to realize performance in Safety, Quality and Productivity at the lowest operating cost and delivering related reports
- Conduct shift meetings to ensure that production employees understand daily objectives, output requirements and keeping up the HSE rules.
- Coordinate with Production Manager and Shift Supervisor to address issues and safety concerns immediately.
- Overseeing the proper operation of machines and devices, proposing improvements.
- Defining and enforcing quantitative indicators (performance, shortages).
- Supervising quality parameters with the use of statistics.
- Taking care of the housekeeping (5S) on the line.
- Cooperation with other departments, to maintaining the continuity of the production process.
- Drive continuous improvement by measuring and analysing losses, implement solutions and improvements; control the effectiveness of the solution and adjust when necessary.
- Planning and supervision over the implementation of stoppages and machine inspections.
- Coordination with the SAP planner in relation with the proper planning which gives high impact on the production plan.
- Manage proper staffing level daily by checking sick leaves, forecasted employee vacations and unanticipated absences are registered properly in the system with coordination with shift supervisors and the production planner.
For this position you have the following Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience on a similar post (requirement).
- Leadership skills and experience, and willingness to develop them.
- Knowledge of factory processes (can manufacturing process is advantageous).
- Technical background and education.
- English proficiency in writing and reading.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, HACCP principles and health & safety regulations.
- Ability to work towards set goals and deadlines.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving.
